Talc is a naturallyaccouring steatite. It is also called as french chalk, soap stone. It comes in brilliant white and off colour. It has extremely soft soappy feeling and the powder is very slippery.

Chemically Talc is Magnesium Silicate : 3Mgo, 4SiO2, H2O. [Magnesium Sislicate]

Chemical Composition :

MgO : 30.0 - 32.5%
SiO2 : 64.0 - 66.0%
Fe2O3 : 00.5%
CaO : 1.5 - 2.5%
Al2O3 : 00.6%

Physical Properties
:

Appearance : White fine smooth powder
Sp. gravity : 2.7 to 2.9
Bulk density : 0.5%
Whiteness : 94%
Oil absorption value : 35 to 40%
Hardness : 1 (Mohs)

PH of 10% aqueous solution 8 to 10 (ASTM D 1208-65 BS 1795.)

Minimum 88% combined magnesium calcium silicate

Industrial Applications :

Paper : Gives smoothness, brightness to paper & partially replaces TiO2. Also acts as pitch absorber.

Paints : Highly recommended for wood finishes, primers, putties, undercoateds, architectural finishes, water based coatings. Its laminar structure helps in better corrosion protection and also improves exterior durability of paints. Recommended for expoxy and exterior paints.

Ceramics : Talc improves resistance to thermal shocks and gives superior electrical properties. It gives greater toughness to speak plugs and switch boards. It also improves dry pressing resistance of ceramic bodies.

Foundaries : Used in mould making and for final finish.

Plastic & Rubber : Used in variety of application as filler.

Cosmetics : Super fine talc powder is used in cosmetic for its smooth silky finish.

Normal Supplies : 240/400/700 mesh, talc in both SSW and off white colour or as per customer's demand.

Packing : HDPE bags. 50 Kgs. nett.

Material Storage : Store the material in dry area. This material is non-hazardous & non-flammable.

Shelf Life : The life span is upto 5 years.

Note: The information provided are based on test report and reference. The user should test sample before bulk trial. This is purely natural process minerals. So there is possibility of purity ± 5%.

WHITING P

WHITING P

Whiting p is also naturally occuring calcium carbonate. It exists in amorphous form where as calcite exists in crystaline form. Its amorphous form gives tremendous suspending powder in coatings. It is also known as Porbunder Whiting.

Chemical Formula : CaCO3, MgCO3, CaMg (CO3)2.

Physical Properties :

Appearance : Creamish white powder
Coarse particle on 240 mesh : max 0.5%

Oil absorption value : 15 to 20
Volatile matter : Max 1%.
Purity as CaCO3 : min 85%

Chemical Composition
:

CaCO3 : 85.0%
SiO2 : 1.10%

Industrial Applications
:

Paints Industry : Used in undercoats, primers, glass putty, distemper, cement primer etc. It is the main ingredients in dry distemper as extender.

Rubber Industry : It is very commonly used filler in cable wire, footwerar and many rubber products.

Plastic Industry : It has a variety of appliction in plastic products.

Pesticide : It is used in pesticide formulation.

Other Uses : Use in construction chemical, foundary, welding rod and many other industries.

Normal Supplies : 300mesh and micronised or as per customer's demand.

Packing : HDPE bags. 50 Kgs. nett.

Material Storage : Store the material in dry area. This material is non-hazardous & non-flammable.

Shelf Life : The life span is upto 5 years.

WOLLASONITE

WOLLASONITE

Naturally occuring Calcium Silicate is Known as Wollasonite. It has an accicular particle shape and is very good reinforcing agent in coatings.

Wollasonite is very effective extender because of its low oil adsorption and low specific gravity.

Wollasonite also possesses a high degree of weather resistance.
